最近几天懒惰下来没怎么更新网站，但最近两天一直霸占头条的Cathay Pacific discrimination incident让我不得不有感而发，在此做个记录。讲完最后再附上我昨天用LHY那里得到的战利品P的图！

我其实更多的是感到无力，倒不是因为what the cabin crew said而是大陆和香港网民各自的某些主流言论都是那么的biased & mean, and there's nothing I can do about it. 这让我觉得love is hard, but hatred is easy. 包容很难，但排外很简单，不管是大陆还是香港，this contagious hatred and toxicity has been spread all over the place, especially on the internet. 自古以来在血脉、文化和历史上的联结似乎被逐渐淡化和遗忘。一方面it's aching that we were too weak to protect HK from being colonized by other countries two hundred years back，但一方面如果不是1842年的南京条约，香港也不会became a financial hub so quick. 所以作为一个土生土长的中国人，一个姥爷姥姥分别是海军将军和军医的大陆人，心情挺复杂的。1997年香港回归，但往后直到现在的二三十年来事情并没有按照美好的设想去发展，we've been alienating each other 特别是近几年的各种政治文化摩擦。如果我是01年出生在香港，可能我也不喜欢大陆，因为近几年北京政府所做的一切都在直接或间接地削弱香港的自治，不满和抗议可以理解。一些大陆人也对香港不友好，因为我们绝大部分人对香港的了解太少太少，只能通过片面的新闻去很有限地了解bits and pieces, of course, there's so much fucking media talking about bullshit, propaganda bullshit. 大陆这个现象特别严重，but it can be applied to those media all over the world. There's a lot of filter about all these things, that's why we're gonna be careful about media stuff. 在现实生活中，跟香港同学、朋友和亲戚的相处中，大家挺好的，也改变了很多自己的bias.

All those flashpoints between mainland and HK these days revolve around language, cultural differences in political convictions have gone viral and toxic. But I'm just a science student, a citizen, a human being. I don't know what game they're playing. I don't give a fuck. 我只知道it's not so much about where you're from，不论大陆还是香港，it's about who is savvy enough to learn about the culture, and to be cosmopolitan enough to repect.
